Epiphany

On the day of Epiphany, we recall the approach of the Magi – coming from the Orient – they come to the nursery with the newborn and they bring them their presents. These gifts are precious products that come from their country.

These mages represent in advance the nations of the whole world, associated with the inheritance of Israel, they are called to become one in Christ.

This is also the image of what is happening at Life Ascending International. In LAI come inhabitants of all continents. They are called to become one in the church, belonging to the family of Christian elders, members of Christ, sharing the same life of friendship, spirituality and Apostolate.

And each country brings to LAI what is peculiar to its culture, its sensibility, its spirituality. There are different contributions. All this is presented to the child of the crib for the good of the elders of the whole world and for the good of all generations.

Just recently, it happened in Santo Domingo. Each country represented has brought its experiences, its convictions. I wish that this sharing continues throughout the year, that the Epiphany is not only once in the year, but throughout the days. Let us be concerned for sharing and pooling.

Each has a little gold, a little incense, a little myrrh, the treasures of VMI for the service of Christ.
