A collaboration between Vida Ascendente Spain

and Vida Ascendente Uruguay

Friends of Vida Ascendente Spain: we have received the issues of "Tres Pilares", edition of the months of August-September-October and November-December, and we  thank you  for it.

In our country, the movement has remained silent throughout 2020 and so far in 2021. The different reasons for this are well known around the world: pandemic,  physical and social fragilities have prevented group meetings in parishes. In theory, the elderly person is supported and protected, but in practice very little is done to ensure an active and safe life. We simply continue to be "digital missionaries," as a priest friend called us. Today, uniting the efforts of those of us who love the movement, we are organizing an Ordinary Assembly to reflect on how to move forward.

Your journal is a source of inspiration and help, no doubt to encourage us in this task. We deeply appreciate your always precious presence. We greet you with fraternal and Christian esteem.

At the end of the Ordinary Assembly, which was held on October 22 in the parish of La Aguada, Our Lady of Carmen, a resolution of the Assembly recorded the election.

In the same parish, on November 22, Yudi Wolz was elected President of Vida Ascendente Uruguay and the following actions for 2022-2023 were planned:

  • Endorse and deepen the three pillars of the movement: Friendship, Spirituality and Apostolate
  • Finding ways to unite movement partners
  • Encourage the use of the media to maintain contact between members
  • Insist on understanding Evangelical values and living them on a daily basis
  • Collaborate and intervene in social action plans

We would be grateful if you would send us the guides you have prepared for next year.

Affectionately.

Marie Prospero d'Addiego
