The Day of July 25 in Senegal

Vie Montante in Senegal, a Christian movement of pensioners and the elderly, is structured in sections. The section, the autonomous basic cell of the movement, lives in Spirituality, Apostolate and Friendship.

After several meetings in committee to answer the question of how to celebrate Grandparents' Day, the Executive Board has planned the following initiatives:

Mass of thanksgiving in all sections that will be followed by:

• sharing between seniors
• exchanges between the elderly and young people
• forum on the "legacy" bequeathed to young people by elders
• visits to patients at a centre that welcomes and cares for young people with disabilities
• a reforestation of the courtyard of some parishes and private Catholic schools in the country.

We in Senegal, through the voice of our Coordinating President, pray for the unity of
the elderly who have become Grandparents. Be all blessed.
