MARCH 2025
- March 25 marked the 30th anniversary of the Encyclical Letter Evangelium Vitae, and on this occasion, the Dicastery for the Laity, Family, and Life published a handbook on how to initiate ecclesial processes to promote a pastoral care for human life, in order to defend, preserve, and promote it in different geographical and cultural contexts in these times of grave violations of human dignity.

- The Church has a new Pope: Leo XIV
 
Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost, of the Order of Saint Augustine and originally from the United States, was elected Pope on Thursday, May 8, 2025. He chose the name Leo XIV.
- 10th Anniversary of Pope Francis' Encyclical Laudato Si' Celebrated on May 24, 2025
 
This encyclical on the care of our common home was published on June 18, 2015, and has had a significant impact on Catholics and Christians in general.
- 100th Anniversary of the Canonization of St. Thérèse of Lisieux
 
On May 17, the Church commemorated the 100th anniversary of the canonization of the Carmelite nun Thérèse of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face. Doctor of the Church, patroness of the missions, her message remains alive throughout the world.
JULY 2025
- Fifth World Day of Grandparents and the Elderly celebrated on July 27
 
The theme chosen this year by Pope Francis, "Blessed is he who has not lost hope" (cf. Sir 14:2), is part of the Jubilee of Hope and invites us to recognize in the elderly not only as recipients of pastoral care, but also as witnesses of hope and active protagonists in ecclesial life.
OCTOBER 2025
- Dilexi te: an exhortation for love of the poor
 
Pope Leo XIV's first major magisterial text, Dilexi te ("I have loved you") is an apostolic exhortation on love for the poor, a text already implemented by Francis and completed by his successor. In this exhortation, the Sovereign Pontiff denounces an economy which excludes and even kills the most vulnerable.
