STEERING COMMITTEE ACTIVITIES

A Steering Committee meeting was held in Madrid from May 19 to 22, 2026.

This meeting served as a major milestone between the 2023 international gathering and the next one scheduled for 2027—a period during which two other Steering Committee meetings were held via Zoom in 2024 and 2025.

It also marked an important step following the first International Congress on the Pastoral Care of the Elderly, held in Rome in 2020 under the title "The Richness of Years," and the second, held in October 2025, titled "Your Elders Shall Dream Dreams."

Invited continental coordinators and national leaders presented the status of their respective movements or coordinations. As some were unable to travel, Zoom connections were arranged.  The agenda included preparations for the 2027 international meeting and general assembly.
