AT THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

Continuation of the Zoom video meetings of the Executive Committee with the Leaders, as initiated in 2024, to learn about the realities of their respective movements, their successes, their challenges, and to share their initiatives with other movements around the world:

  • December 11, 2024, with Vie Montante Mauritius, represented by Wolfgang Schmitz, Spiritual Advisor, and Shirley Kan, prospective Leader of the movement

  • February 28, 2025, with Vie Montante Senegal, Prosper Diatta, Head of the movement and Continental Coordinator for French-speaking Africa and Father Denis Ndene Spiritual Advisor for the country and Continental Spiritual Advisor who presented their actions in favor of the elderly in their country and mentioned the Pilgrimage of Popenguine where the members gathered in large numbers (approx. 400-500 people) on the theme of Hope in reference to the jubilee year.

  • April 2, 2025, with Life Ascending UK represented by Brenda Willis and Paula Conrad, respectively current and former Presidents of the movement, and the Continental Coordinator for Europe, Teresa Fontanet.

On March 19, 2025, a Zoom video meeting between the French Christian Retirees' Movement (MCR) and Vida Ascendente Spain to discuss the two movements' mutual training methods and the expectations and information to be shared (pastoral care for the elderly, training modules, commitment, belonging, etc.).

AG Suisse

On March 26, 2025, the President travelled to meet with the Swiss MCR-Vie Montante, which was holding its general assembly in Morges (a town 20 km from Lausanne). Among other things, the annual theme prepared in February 2025 jointly with Vie Montante Belgium and the preparations for the 60th anniversary of the Swiss movement were discussed, which will take place on June 11, 2025, on the theme "Looking to the Future" in Payerne, a Cluniac site in the canton of Vaud.

 

On December 11, January 8, February 5, February 28, and April 16, the Executive Committee met via Zoom for its work.
