LIVING WITH THE RISEN

During the season of Lent, we follow Jesus, to enter with him and the Holy Spirit into God's fight against evil.

We are aware that we are also sinners ourselves. However, we place our trust in the mercy of God.

We observe in our societies to what extent evil continues its work of destruction. There are multiple areas:

• wars, attacks, violence, all these attacks provoke fear of the immediate. They paralyze the motivations to catch a glimpse of the future of our humanity!
• the scandal of hunger, even famine, is deeply revolting.
• climate change is triggering more and more tragic disasters. People who are already in poverty are the first to be affected.
• the lack of solidarity between Peoples arouses general scepticism. It is difficult for man to survive!

These situations do not correspond to the project of God's Creation for our Humanity:

“God saw all he had made, and indeed it was very good” (Genesis 1,31) We believe that the work of Creation is good. We become ". We are faced with our personal and collective responsibilities. None of us can perform miracles! However, everyone was given talents. None of us are enough on our own, we need each other.

Many older people have faced hardships in life. With courage and perseverance, they succeeded in life.

We have received the gift of Faith in Baptism. It is the grace that encourages the missionary disciples who follow the Risen One.

We are “the salt of the earth, the light of the world” (Matthew 5, 13-14). Christ opens the way towards His Father’s Kingdom.

He set the signs of a new world that he inaugurated. He healed the sick, forgave sinners, raised the dead, welcomed strangers....Our pilgrimage on earth is limited in time. Christ is always with us. Let us spread the signs of this Kingdom all together. This is our baptismal vocation.
