Prayer to the Virgin Mary

Sweet Virgin Mary, my mother, allow me to come in the evening of my life,

To dedicate my last years to you to unite them with yours who were so holy

I offer you the time God gives me to spend again on earth.

I offer you, today, the sorrows, the infirmities that await me every day.

Help me, O Mary, to use my days to make your divine Son love through my little services, my charity, my prayers and my sacrifices.

Thank you for my history, my activities, my family affections. Thank you for all the joys you have given me, thank you for the trials that have brought me closer to you, thank you for everything.

Mary, ask the Lord to forgive me all the weaknesses, all the sins, that have taken me away from God.

I accept the time and circumstances of my death.

May the end of my life be like yours.

Deign on the day of my death, lead me to Jesus and welcome me into your motherly arms in Paradise.

I ask you for this same grace for all Christian souls who, having arrived at the end of their lives, need your help.
