PILGRIMAGE TO FATIMA AND SANTIAGO

With Vida Ascendente Spain

The Permanent Commission of the Movement has scheduled this meeting, organized by our chaplain, José Ignacio Figueroa, in the Prolongated Jubilee Year of Compostela, in order to thank God for not having left us this year, to make visible so many elderly people who have suffered from loneliness, from the abandonment of their loved ones,  of the object of society and witness to the silent presence of so many elderly people who, despite their weaknesses, continue to bring experience, enthusiasm and commitment to the Church and to society.

This pilgrimage will take place, departing from the dioceses for Fatima from 26 to 28 September 2022 and then by different routes, to Santiago where several events will take place: Eucharists, visits, optional excursions and reflection workshops, until October 1, the closing date of the pilgrimage with the Pilgrim's Mass.

There is also the possibility of reducing the pilgrimage by going only to Santiago from September 28, to join those who will arrive from Fatima.

The respective diocesan commissions have all the information on itineraries, travel conditions, prices, hotels and excursion possibilities. José Ignacio himself, together with a representative of the Organizing Agency, plans to visit the dioceses, individually or with other nearby dioceses, to inform and answer questions that arise.

It is a beautiful journey to kneel before Our Dame of Fatima, to perform the Jubilee of Compostela, to thank God for all the favors received, to ask for his blessings and to spend a few days with friends who live in the spirit of Vida Ascendente.
