THE ASSUMPTION OF THE HOLY VIRGIN MARY IN THE SKY

Today, we celebrate the feast of the Assumption of the Virgin in Heaven.
It is celebrated throughout the Church on August 15th.

This holiday has a dual purpose:
the happy departure of Mary from this life and
The Assumption of his body in heaven.

In this solemnity we contemplate Mary; it opens us to hope,
To a future full of joy and teaches us the way to reach it;
in faith in his son, to never lose friendship with Him, but to let us illuminate
and help with his word;
to follow him every day, even in the moments when we feel that our crosses seem heavy to us.

Mary, the ark of the covenant that is in the Sanctuary of Heaven, shows us with luminous clarity that we are on our way to our true home, a communion of joy and peace with God.
