For the Day of July 25,

A call received on July 30  from the Dicastery for the Laity, Family and Life

"Dear friends,

Last Sunday, we celebrated the first World Day of Grandparents and The Elderly, one of the most significant events of the Year of the Family Amoris Laetitia.

For the Dicastery for the Laity, Family and Life, the pastoral care of the elderly is one of the most important areas of commitment because we are convinced that, as the Holy Father said on Sunday, "without dialogue between young people and grandparents, history does not advance, life does not advance".

We have already received information - including via social media - about how the Day has been celebrated around the world. But we would also like to know how it was celebrated within the framework of your episcopal conference or association, in order to share the modalities of implementation, creativity and, finally, the Spirit as it manifests itself in the different realities of the five continents. For this reason, we ask you to send us, if you wish, photos, short stories, videos to the email address This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

A cordial greeting in Christ»

We will be the relay of all the testimonials that you will send to LAI.
