Vida Ascendente Peru reports on the activities of its groups over the months of August to December 2021

In August

We paid tribute to Santa Limeña Santa Rosa de Lima, during a virtual program, imbued with spirituality and reflection on her life and miracles with the participation of all the groups of our Movement as well as that of friends.

In September

We organized two exchanges on the theme "Taking care of our physical and mental health during the pandemic".

We received Dr. Pedro Salomé Gamarra, Geriatrician of the Geriatric Polyclinic ANCIJE who told us about the care to be observed for our physical health.

Dr. Graciela Gurronero Toledo, clinical psychologist, spoke to us about our mental health during these critical moments we are going through.

These events were well attended by our friends and those of some Latin American countries.

In October

On October 1st, "International Day of Ascending Life", we participated in the Holy Eucharist at noon; we prayed for all the brothers of Ascending Life around the world, especially for those who died during the pandemic.

In the evening, we had a program of reflection on the meaning of this day.

We held a large virtual raffle to raise funds to support the "I'm with you every day" program and other fees. The results have been satisfactory given the limitations imposed by the situation we are experiencing.

In November

Presentation and welcome of our new spiritual advisor, Father Pablo Augusto Meloni Navarro, appointed by the Archbishop of Lima and Primate of Peru Carlos Castillo Mattasoglio.

Our advisor studied medicine at the prestigious Cayetano Heredia University. After graduating, he was appointed professor at the same university.

An executive at the Ministry of Health, he was then called by the World Health Organization-WHO, in which he held the vice-presidency. After practicing medicine for 35 years, he was called by the Lord. Entered the seminary at the age of 55, after completing his studies, he was appointed chaplain of the Edgardo Rebagliati Hospital, for 8 years. He is currently pastor of the parish of Santa Mónica in the neighborhood of San Isidro de Lima.

In December

We virtually attended "Word on Advent" by our Counselor, Father Augusto Meloni with 30 friends of Vida Ascendente Peru and some Latin American countries. This spiritual preparation in anticipation of the Birth of Our Savior has sparked a dialogue about our concerns.

CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION 2021

A few days before Christmas, in the evening, we met virtually to celebrate Christmas and the arrival of the new year 2022.

We meditated on the Birth of our Savior Jesus who chose a humble manger outside the city, without noise, lights or ostentation, under the sole protection of his parents Joseph and Mary. Jesus brought us much love, tenderness, humility, tolerance and forgiveness, values that have penetrated the hearts of hundreds of generations and that through these 20 centuries have endured and will endure.

Christmas is an opportunity to show our family, friends, colleagues, a lot of love, faith in God and hope that these difficult times will pass.

In a few days the new year 2022 will arrive, we hope that it will be better than the present.

But let us know how to appreciate these 365 days when we find ourselves alive, thank God, although wounded in the depths of our hearts by our relatives and friends who have gone to the Lord.

We have learned to be more supportive, to understand each other a little better and to live together thinking that we all need each other.
