Beautiful All Saints' Day

 All Saints' Day: There are many blessed ones.

There are many blessed ones
Who have never been talked about
And who did not leave an image.
All those who have since ages
Loved without ceasing and their best
As much their brothers as their God!

Those we do not say a word.
These blessed ones of the humble class
Those who have not done miracles
Those who have never had ecstasy
And who have left no other trace
Than a piece of land or a cradle.

They are many, these people of nothing
These blessed of the everyday
Who will not go down in history
Those who have worked without glory
And who have worn their hands
To knead, to gain bread.

They have their names on so many stones
And sometimes in our prayers
But they are in the heart of God!
And when one of them leaves the earth
To reach the Father's house,
A star is born in heaven.

Born in Richmond in 1949, Robert Lebel has been a singer-songwriter for more than 30 years.
He is very well known across Canada and even in Europe.

Born in the Estrie region, in the province of Quebec, he was ordained a priest in 1976.
